The Big History story

I'm interested to discover that the current approach to history learning is so localised, personalised and fragmented. In today's Weekend Australian there's a story about Big History being trialled in a couple of high schools. I understand that ESH260 is K-8 focussed, however I'm interested to watch this space.

Wonder if I should send the link to Robbie? I did....

When I met with Robbie last week I mentioned that Bronte and Juliette had attended a Montessori school in Brisbane and lesson one on day 1 was "The Big Bang". Cosmic education is a key aspect of the Montessori curriculum. And it's not a new thing there. Compared with this current Big History project where they are introducing the story of origin at the high school level, Maria Montessori introduced it in the first cycle - to 3 year olds, beginning their school life with a view of each person's place in the universe.
